Hi there!

My name is Charmaine (the founder of The Calm Cartel).

I’m a university-trained naturopath & nutritionist.

I’m also a wife, mum, daughter, child-taxi driver, crystal lover and word nerd (in no particular order).

“I’m passionate about empowering other busy working Mums, like you, to take better care of yourself so you can be the mum/wife/boss/co-worker you want to be without burning out, or sacrificing your mental health.”

As a naturopath I’ve seen hundreds of women walk into a session on the verge of falling apart – they’ve spent so long feeling stressed and anxious that it’s become their new normal. And it doesn’t need to be.

I’ve been there myself. I was diagnosed with severe post-natal anxiety after having my daughter – but I didn’t feel much different to how I normally felt. I soon found out that I’d been experiencing anxiety for most of my life and I didn’t know it, or recognise it as anxiety – it had just become my normal.

And I’m a health care professional – I’m meant to know this stuff right? (cue the feelings of professional inadequacy and failure…)

But then I realised something – if I didn’t recognise it as anxiety how many other women are out there suffering from anxiety and thinking it’s normal?

That’s when I realised that’s what I’m here to do – to teach and empower other Mumma’s about stress and anxiety – what’s normal, what isn’t and what they can do to support themselves.

Because there are so many things you can do to support your wellbeing.

There are tools, techniques and strategies you can use every day to help reduce stress and feelings of anxiety, and to increase your resilience and your ability to cope with stress.

And they can be as simple or as complex as you like – but let’s work together to come up with something that we can weave into your already busy life.
